Nal and Caecilius followed Lieutenant Gibbs as he lead them down the corridor. They received some stares from the crew, which didn't surprise them in the least. There would probably be a lot of buzz in the mess hall during the next meal time. It wasn't often that Jedi roamed the ship, and probably even longer since a Nautolan and Miraluka had set foot on board.
They ignored the attention their presence garnered, and sat down in the smaller mess hall to which Gibbs had led them. They looked at the sparse menu and decided to just have some caf, as nothing really looked appealing, and sat down.
"I wonder what mission dey are on," Nal commented, sipping the hot liquid.
"Whatever it is, Captain Moklam wasn't happy that we interrupted it," Caecilius replied.
"I can't tink of anyting dat would require a Republic capital ship in dis system. Der hasn't been trouble here in a long time. Not dat I can recall, anyhow." Nal put down her cup and slid it out of the way. Clearly it had been cooking too long, which kind of surprised her. Even though it was between meals, she knew how well the officers liked their caf.
"Neither can I, but anyway..." Caecilius was about to say something else, but was interrupted by his wrist comm beeping, indicating there was an incoming holo message waiting at his ship.
Nal looked down at his comm. "Guess we bettah go see what dat is about," she said and they both stood up and headed back toward the hangar.
Along the way they commed Gibbs, and made arrangements to transfer the message to a private holo screen. Whatever it was about, they were sure wasn't for ship mechanics wandering around the hangar.
Once they reached the private comm, they transferred the message and punched in the authorization code, verifying it was a Jedi receiving the message, and the holo image of Master Taison sprang to life in front of them.
"What can we do for you, Master?" Caecilius asked.
"Ah, good, you're both there. I was hoping that would be the case," the Master Jedi began, then stuck his clawed hands inside his robes. "I have good news for you. The Republic Cruiser Unity has picked up the trail of the ship you two have been searching for in the Nevoota system. I have arranged with Republic Naval Command for you to join them at Balmorra. You will be the Jedi liaison to them as they track down the Sith."
Nal and Caecilius both began to chuckle.
"What is so funny, young Jedi?"
Nal spoke up. "As da Force would have it, Mastah, we are already on board da Unity."
