They landed the Wasted Rancor at the same landing bay they had taken off from, and exited the ship.
"You've seen landing twice now. Next time it's your turn," Raezyr said to Anya as they left the space port.
She only nodded, still wary and not quite sure what to make of his recent helpfulness. He'd given her some great fighting tips during their sparring session on the way back, as well as helped her more in developing her use of the Force. She changed the subject to more pressing matters.
"Guys, how are we going to explain complete loss of the Rancor's crew?" Anya asked.
"Simple," Tyrrazapon replied, "the ship was taken over by the LMP, but we followed Iago's orders to the letter and didn't reveal ourselves until Iago and his crew arrived. The Raider's destroyed the LMP ship and docked with the Flyer. The LMPs were unfortunate enough to overpower the Raiders when they attempted to board, despite our surprise attack. We, however, with our mighty Force powers, were able to defeat the remaining LMPs and deliver the ship as promised."
"Excellent," Raezyr said.
"Sounds good enough to me," commented Trychon.
They stopped briefly to deposit their gear in their apartments before making their way to the Revenant headquarters.
Shado Golar was sitting at a booth in the bar area, watching two blue-skinned Twi'lek dancers when they arrived.
"Sit down, Jedi Hunters," he said as he motioned for the droid keeping the bar to bring refreshments.
The four Sith students slid into the booth.
"The Exchange contacted me yesterday to make payment. They were quite pleased about recieving the ship, but confused as to why Captain Sand Iago wasn't there to complete the transaction," Golar related. He looked at the four Sith and waited for an explaination.
Tyrrazapon laid out the sequence of events, just as he had made them up earlier. Golar seemed fairly non-chalant about losing that crew.
"No matter. Iago was a merc anyway. He and his crew of raiders usually performed well enough, but he did work for the highest bidder, and we suspected that he might try to double cross us. That ship was worth 20 times what we were paying him, and he knew it. That's why you were sent along. To test your loyalty and abilities."
Trychon could feel Raezyr's anger starting to well up. He understood it perfectly. Hearing that your life was endagered simply as a test wasn't something that sat well.
He spoke quickly before Raezyr's emotions boiled over,"We brought Iago's ship back for you. It's docked at it's usual spaceport."
"You can keep it, if you like. It was Iago's personal property, and being a merc ship, it has a small reputation. Not something we want connected to the Revenants. Consider it a bonus for a mission well done," Golar said, taking a puff of his cigarra. He blew a smoke ring and watched for a moment before continuing.
"Speaking of payment, I need an account number where I can deposit your earnings. It will be deposited through untraceable channels. Can't have the Republic Judicials tracking Revenant payments to the Sith, now can we?"
Tyr disguised his shock well out of habit, but Anya and Trychon weren't so skilled at hiding their surprise. Only Raezyr's helm masked his.
"Don't look so surprised," Golar commented casually, his attention on the Twi'lek dancers. "The Revenants didn't become as powerful as we are by being gullible.
"Your identities are safe, as long as you don't try to cross us. And if you kill this Jedi, if and when he shows up, and try to blame it on the Revenants, you will find every Jedi on Coruscant breathing down your necks."
