295. Pirates....... YAR! - Trychon

Trychon stared at his datapad, confounded.

Then he heard Raezyr in his head... Hyperdrive's damaged. We're good for a bit, but we need to find a stopping point...

Trychon put down his datapad. Fine. Meet me up front. Something else is up, too. Hard to say what though.

About ten minutes later, Raezyr and Dianna joined Trychon. "What's going on?" Raezyr asked him.

Trychon didn't look up. He kept playing with his datapad. "Well, the computer system is only running at 98% efficiency. Delki, Dek and I had her up to about 103% when we were on Hoth... granted, it's never as good when you get out and actually use it... but it's still a surprising drop."

Dianna looked over his shoulder at the pad. "That's odd... they usually get them running better than 103%."

"Cute." Trychon retorted. "The ship has had some nice upgrades over time, but the computer core was never upgraded. It's running better parts than standard, without any help. It was running about 90% when we started out. Not a bad ship... but the computer's underrated."

Raezyr sat down and started playing with the controls from his seat. "So what's the deal, is it from the fight? We damage a chip somewhere or something?"

Trychon looked up at him and saw the cut on his lip. Ouch... he thought to Raezyr, keeping his face neutral. Called that one... Raezyr's expression also stayed neutral. Shut it.

Trychon put his datapad down. "The problem is that there is no physical damage to the computer systems at all. Something else is causing this."

Dianna looked at him. "What, some kind of mynock?"

"No." Trychon shook his head. "The energy loss we're getting seems to go directly back to the hyperdrive itself... internally. I can't explain it. It's just not right."
