Raezyr tried to stop Trychon, but he was gone. What are you doing? You're going to get us caught before we even get there.
Hey.... it's me.... Trychon thought back.
That's what I'm afraid of.
Trychon walked up to the two ladies as they stood at the bar ordering their drinks. "Barkeep, put those drinks on my tab, will you?"
The shorter brunette turned to Trychon. "Thank you, but that really wasn't necessary." She had gorgeous hazel eyes and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail.
"Yes, thank you for the drink. Now what do you want?" asked the other woman. She was tall with green eyes and curly red hair that fell down over her shoulders.
"Well as you guessed, there is something else." Trychon said, after ordering another round for Raezyr and himself. "My friend and I have a bet going, and we were wondering if you'd settle it for us."
The red head rolled her eyes and the brunette chuckled a bit. "Alright. What's the bet?" replied the shorter woman.
"I said you have armor on underneath your uniforms, and he says you don't. Can you please prove to him that I'm correct?" Trcyhon grinned at them as he picked up the two drinks the bartender had just set down.
The ladies looked at each other and laughed a bit. "That has to be the worst pick-up line I've ever heard," said the red-haird woman, still chuckling.
Trychon forced an embarassed look. This was going exactly as he had hoped. "Well, then would you mind coming over and explaining the proper way of gaining the attention of a couple of beautiful women?"
They both laughed at that. "I'm Lana, and this is Ari," said the brunette as they followed Trychon back to the table.
"I'm Trych, and my friend here is Raez. Raez, this is Lana and Ari." Trcyhon slipped into the booth opposite Raezyr. Lana slid in next to Trychon and Ari sat down in the remaining seat next to Raezyr.
"It's nice to meet you ladies." Raezyr shook their hands and grabbed his refill from Trychon and took a sip. "What are you ladies at the academy for?"
"We're fighter pilot cadets... Oh, my! What happened to your face?" Ari asked. She continued before Raezyr could answer. "That's a very cool looking scar! I bet it's got a great story behind it."
For the first time, Raezyr felt that just maybe his 'mark of shame' might not be such a bad thing after all. "I was nearly killed when a friend and I were ambushed by gang members. There's not much to tell, really. The short of it is that I'm here and the alien who did this isn't."
"Wow! What kind of work do you guys do, then? It must be pretty dangerous." Lana had noted the blasters on their hips earlier.
Trychon took a drink of his ale. "It can be at times, but just we have a small time shipping business. We try and pick up work where ever we can. Usually just the stuff that's too small for the bigger shipping and trade companies to bother with, but it's enough to get by. Occasionally we have some run-ins with gangs or pirates, but Raez here is a pretty damn good pilot and we've got a decent ship, so we do alright."

*** Lightsaber Training Room
Caecilius' blue lightsaber hummed to life as he assumed the opening stance of Makashi.
He moved slowly practicing thrusts, parries, and disengages. Focusing on his form to develop even greater muscle memory with the first of the two forms to which he had decided to dedicate himself. The exorcises continued, and he gradually began to move faster. He continued this until he was moving as fast as he would in a real duel, all the while maintaining his form. He continued at this speed for a good thirty more minutes until he felt a familiar presence behind him.
"Nal" He said without turning around as he disengaged his lightsaber. "You've been in the aquarium again haven't you?" He said with a laugh "I still don't see how you have avoided a formal complaint... how are you?"
