After sitting in the cockpit for a while, they eventually began to cramp and get bored with the view of hyperspace and migrated back to the lounge. Raezyr grabbed his tome, as Trychon was still engrossed in his. They sat in silence for nearly an hour before either spoke.
"Something's missing." Trychon said.
Raezyr looked at him, but didn't speak. He got up from his seat and grabbed two glasses. He tossed them to Trychon, who pulled them to his grip through the force while Raezyr grabbed a few ales and sat back down. He poured the drinks into the glasses, and lifted his in the air. "We should toast to something. Here's to completing our mission."
Trychon raised his glass to Raezyr's. "Here's to holocrons being retrieved from nasty lamps."
"To giant villages of brainwashed people."
"To nasty animals leaving us in survivable condition."
"To The Mist... that hinders and helps... blinds and strengthens."
"To having a good lightsaber at your side... and by your side."
"To having a good ship beneath your feet."
"To the Dark Side!"
They laughed as they yelled the last line in unison, and downed the drinks. Trychon got up to retrieve some more and when he got back he saw Raezyr was flipping the pages in Trychon's tome, curious to see what he was reading. Trychon poured the drinks. "It's about Sith Sorcery, basically. Way above my head for the most part... but really interesting. I haven't learned much that's practical for me at this point, but a few I hope to make inroads on before too long. How's yours?"
"I love it. It's teaching me all sorts of great ideas for combat. I'll be sure to use them on you later, so that we're both learning something useful." Raezyr replied, lifting his glass again in mock cheers.
"Touche." Trychon said, grabbing his book and getting ready to read again. He read a few more pages before setting the book back down and to the side.
"Hey Raezyr?" He asked, while pulling out his lightsaber to fiddle with. When Raezyr looked up, he continued. "I had an odd dream last night. Like some guy was calling to me to do something."
Raezyr set his book off to the side as well and downed his drink, cleaning up the empty bottles, and getting up to grab a few more. As he sat down, Raezyr went over the details of his dream as well, and they found that they matched nearly (but not quite entirely) identically. They talked about the potential meaning of the dream, although they began to refer to it as a vision instead.
They could think of many possible explanations, but none that had any more real facts to support them over the others.
The next several days were much of the same. The vision came to them alternately at times, and concurrently at times, and was sometimes shorter and sometimes longer. No matter how it came, they couldn't seem to discern any more about it, other than it was persistent.
They spent time sparring as normal, with Trychon begrudging Raezyr's new added edge... although he did his best to absorb what he could from fighting him... and the rest of the time discussing the visions or reading.
It seemed like almost no time had passed for the two when they came out of hyperspace and saw the bright white frozen orb growing ever closer in the distance.
"Closest thing we have to home in these past few months, I guess..." Raezyr commented as they entered the atmosphere.
Trychon stared into the distance and agreed, although not very emphatically.
They pulled into King's Lair, and set the ship down. They got through the post landing fairly quickly and Trychon checked his datapad to ensure that the Stalker was also in system. It was, at a far enough distance that it could be called in, but wouldn't be noticed on approach to the planet.
They grabbed their main bags and headed down the open ramp to a small welcoming committee of Dianna, Delki, Bleetz, and one or two of Dianna's soldiers who seemed warmer to the Sith than the others.
"Welcome back!" They cheered, as Dianna walked forward to greet them both. She gave Trychon a quick hug and then Raezyr a longer hug. "Welcome back." She whispered in his ear.
Aitchkay walked slowly down behind them with the rest of their gear, and didn't comment on Dianna's comment, which was quite loud enough for digital ears.
