Eiron jumped down a stairwell, his blade thrumming in his right hand. He'd angled his fall so that his landing brought his boots crashing onto the back of an armored Republic soldier.
The rest began firing at him. The shots were easily picked off by Eiron's blade, the bolts burning faces and hearts as they ricocheted back. There were more soldiers coming up the stairs, but Eiron sent down a Force Scream to stall them. As the troopers reeled, Eiron fired off a Force Shockwave, which twisted the stairwell as it went. It would be hard for him to be followed.
Eiron cut a hole in the wall and emerged in an empty corridor. He then made good on his vow to defend his apprentices.
There were a dozen guards standing before a heavily shielded door. Eiron threw his lightsaber into the fray, spearing one through the heart. He raced forward, recalling his weapon, deflecting strikes from blaster rifles and force pikes.
When they were dead (which was no time at all) Eiron slammed the door a few times with the Force but did not actually open it. He hoped his students got the message. Someone was in there. He then went on with his task.
