360. THX 1138 - Trcyhon

After the first bit of walking through the craggy underground, they slowed their pace and took their time. Trychon had caught his bad leg on a rock and his limp was exaggerated briefly. Realizing that there was no rush other than to find out Aitchkay's status, they relaxed a bit. Their current surroundings were dull in comparison to everything they'd run into on the surface of the planet. The echoes of their own steps were the ambient sound, and there didn't seem to be any sort of preeminent life form in the cave.

They traveled along, using common sense to dictate that they follow one wall the entire way. They knew it could take longer this way, but they also wouldn't get lost and it could certainly take less time than losing their bearings. They came across nothing more interesting than the occasional beetle, but they'd trekked both downwards and upwards, and had no honest clue as to how close they were to the surface. Out of hope, Trychon continually checked his datapad to see if he had a strong outgoing signal.

Eventually they sat down to rest and have a few bites off their ration bars. They made small talk and discussed what possible tactical options they had against a beast of that size and fortitude. They decided that given its near immunity to both their weapons and their Force abilities, avoidance would serve them best at this point.

Trychon checked his datapad one more time before they set out again, and they set off. He was checking less frequently now for signal to contact their droid, as he'd seen no hope of improvement in that regard. They hadn't traveled long though when his datapad beeped at him. He pulled it out and saw the simple query from his channel with HK-51. 'Status?'

Trychon and Raezyr 'conversed' with the droid for several minutes. He confirmed that the creature still was in the vicinity of the entrance they'd started at... and that he seemed intent on keeping an eye on it for a while. They asked a few more questions, but the droid had few answers. Ultimately, they gave him instructions to very slowly, and with sensors at a maximum, head towards their original pinpointed destination. They would try to meet him there when they were able.

Given the fact that they were able to communicate even briefly to the surface, they marked their spot moved a bit more specifically looking for a path that led to an exit.
