160. Sith Saga: Proving Grounds - Raezyr

Anya

It wasn't hard to find out which club was the off duty judicial hang out. All she had done was ask a Judicial for his recommendation of a quiet place to get a drink.

Anya checked the image she had downloaded of Thar-in Vol from the news archives and slipped it into a small bag she carried over her shoulder before entering the Golden Sheild. She walked around for a few minutes, and not seeing Vol she took a booth near the back to wait.

When the waitress came around she put in her food and drink order. As she waited, she did her best to seem disinterested in who was coming and going while trying to keep tabs at the same time.

She was half-way finished with her meal when he walked in and sat down by himself at the bar.

She kept her eye on him while he had one drink, then two. Vol ordered his third drink, then stood up and began to make his way toward the restrooms.

Anya quickly slipped her bag over her shoulder and took off on an intercept course, and just as they passed each other she bumped into him, dropping her bag in the process and spilling it's contents on the floor.

"Oh, I'm such a klutz," she exclaimed as she dropped to her knees and began to pick up her things.

"No, no! It's completely my fault," he apologized and began helping her retrieve her items.

She reached over for the datapad that Vol was about to pick up and placed her hand on his. She looked up into his eyes, then quickly averted hers and retracted her hand, as if embarassed.

"I'm really sorry, miss......" he said, fishing for her name.

"Syana. Syana Ortel," she said and smiled demurely.

"Syana, can I buy you a drink to make up for my clumsiness?" Thar-in asked as he offered his hand to help her up.

She smiled again. "I guess that'd be okay."

She accepted his hand and stood up. She looked into his eyes a moment before letting go of his hand.
