169. Sith Saga: Proving Grounds - Raezyr

Shado Golar had provided them with rooms in a Revenant safe house a short distance from the head quarters. Raezyr sat meditating in his apartment when there was a light rap at the entrance. He knew it was Anya. He had sensed her the moment she had entered the apartment building.

"Enter," he said as he replaced his helm and stood up.

"Oh, Raez! I did it!" she exlaimed as she bounced into the room and over to him. "I killed him, and it was glorious! I felt his fear and his pain! It was... intoxicating," she said as she put her hand on his chest. She glanced up at his masked face from under her eyebrows. "You would have been proud," she said softly.

"I AM proud. This is great news," he said in mock seriousness. "Would you like a prize for doing your job and not fucking it up?" Raezyr said sarcastically.

He sensed her mood change from elation, to disappointment, then anger.

Her face turned red and he could see the muscles in her neck strain as she clenched her jaw and her face twisted with rage.

"You son of a bitch! Who do you think you are? Lord Eiron said we were supposed to be working together.... as EQUALS! I swear if you don't stop treating me like this, I'll...," she screamed. Her fists clenching and unclenching at her sides in rage.

"You'll.... what?" Raezyr asked, seemingly calm.

"You're lucky you're hiding behind that stupid helmet, or I'd punch you in the face right now," she said through clenched teeth.

Raezyr reached up removed the helmet and dropped it on the floor. "Do it," he taunted.

Anya never even batted an eye at the scar on his face. She drew her fist back and threw it forward with all her weight behind it.

He caught her fist in his mailed hand, stopping her blow in mid-swing.

He leaned forward and whispered into her ear, "My turn."

The Force push sent her flying across the room. She slammed into the wall with a sickening thud, then fell the floor in a heap.

Raezyr walked over to her, reached down and scooped up Anya's unconscious body in his arms. Gingerly, he carried her down the hall to the aparment that had been set aside for her. He took her inside and laid her down carefully on the bed.

Raezyr loosened her clothing and removed her boots, setting them on the floor. He grabbed a wash cloth, ran cold water over it and placed it on her forehead. Anya's eyes fluttered and opened. She looked wildly around the room then focused on him, and her eyes filled with hate.

"Next time you think you are my equal, remember that little lesson," he said as he stood up and left the room, heading back to his own quarters.

She has the most beautifully eyes I've ever seen.
