307. Pirates....... YAR! - Raezyr

Raezyr shook his head. "You know something, Trych? One minute you make me think you're brilliant, then the next I think you must have trouble finding your way out of the refresher."

Dianna laughed and picked up the comm to inform her contact of our arrival.

"Seriously, what'd I miss?" Trychon said, still leaning forward.

I'll tell you about it later, Raezyr sent the thought to Trychon.

Dianna put the headset down. "They say we can land, and use the facility, but we're on our own. The best they can do it to keep folks clear of the bay." She entered the coordinates for Raezyr as they descended to the surface of Carida.

Carida was a world which contained a wide variety of terrain and life forms, from polar ice caps, to arid deserts, to jungles, from wide sweeping plains to rocky, ice-covered mountains.

It was one of the reasons that the military academy had chosen this planet. They could conduct training in just about any climate and conditions imaginable.

Raezyr landed in one of the planet's dozen or so metropolis' in the northern hemisphere, in a flat, forested area with wetlands all around, although that didn't affect them much beyond the constant attack by mosquitos.

The hangar was completely deserted. Raezyr pulled on a pair of black trousers, a white shirt and a tan leather vest, along with a blaster pistol and holster, which were more for show. He slid his lightsabers into the hidden holsters up his sleeves which he had rigged earlier, then met the others in the lounge area.

"Alright, Trych, you get to work and try to figure out where those anomalous computer readings are coming from. Di, you come with me and we'll see about getting the parts we need," Raezyr said and turned toward the hatch.

"Raezyr!" Dianna said through clenched teeth.

His shoulders slumped and he turned around. "Excuse me. Trych, was there something you wanted to do besides work on the computers and drink a couple of ales?"

"No, I'm good," Trych responded with a grin. "Boss? Did you want me to do something besides going to look for parts to fix the ship?" Raezyr asked sarcastically.

"Yes. I do. You're going to stay here and start removing the old parts, and I will go look for a replacement," Dianna said in a tone that brooked no argument.

For a moment it looked as if Raezyr was going argue the point. Trychon could see him getting hot under the collar and was getting ready for the show, when suddenly Raezyr changed his mind.

"Alright. Just make sure that it's the generator circuit and harness for a XT-74 hyperdrive unit. It might be hard to come by, and someone might tell you that the XT-73 will work just as well. It'll fit, but we'll blow it out within 75 parsecs," Raezyr said and went back to his cabin to change into work clothes.

Dianna had expected a huge argument over that. She turned and looked at Trychon as if expecting an explaination.

"Don't look at me," he reached into the cabinet and pulled out an ale. "I'm just as disappointed as you are."

She was half-way down the loading ramp when she realized that she WAS kind of disappointed.
