Raezyr lept into the the side car, and the pain from the wound in his side exploded through his body and mind. He fought the darkness that tried to creep on him, using the Force to shake it away.
Trychon had already gunned the throttle and the engine was srcreaming as they flew down the street.
"More speed!" Raezyr yelled over the engine and howling wind. "Use the Force to guide your actions!" Trychon twisted the throttle harder.
Raezyr twisted around in the side car to look at their pursuer. He was gaining on them. No wonder, Raezyr thought, it's a Dug piloting that thing!
Suddenly the Dug pulled a blaster out and began firing. Raezyr pulled out his hilts and tried to stand up in the side car, but the pain doubled him over, nearly causing him to tumble from the swoop. "You've got to go faster, Trych! He's still gaining!" Raezyr yelled.
"I can't go any faster! There are too many twists and turns to these streets, besides, the wind is making my eyes tear up! I can't see a damn thing!" Trychon yelled back.
"We're screwed, then! It hurts too much for me to try and block his blaster shots!" And almost as if on que, one of the Dug's shots struck the back of the Trychon and Raezyr's swoop, causing the vehicle to lurch and leaving a trail of black smoke in their wake. All the lights and sensors on the control panel went crazy, flashing and beeping.
"We can't take another shot like that," Trychon yelled.
Raezyr thought for a moment. "Slide back, I'm driving!" he yelled. "My helm will keep the wind out of my face so we can pick up some more speed. It's gonna be up to you to fend off that Dug! On three: One, Two, Three..."
And Trychon slid back in the seat as Raezyr slid in front of him. At the last second Trychon let go of the controls, only losing a slight bit of momentum before Raezyr grabbed it and pulled himself fully into the seat, doing his best to shake off the exploding lights of pain in his head.
Trychon swung his legs into the side car, facing backwards. He pulled his light saber and ignited it kneeling in the seat and trying to lean over the back.
"This is never gonna work." he yelled.
"STAND," was the reply that came into his mind.
"CRAZY!!!" he sent back to Raezyr, giving him an incredulous look.
Raezyr never looked over, he fiddled with some controls and pushed the throttle faster..... much to fast for these narrow Smuggler's Moon streets.
"STAND," came the word again, followed by, "FORCE!"
Raezyr glanced over at Trychon, gave a slight, yet violent fist pump, then pointed at him. Somehow, Trychon knew that Raezyr had just told him, "I know you can do it!"
Trychon concentrated and let the Force flow into him, grabbed it with an inner death grip, and slowly stood up, placing one foot on the bike, and one on the side car. He began to swing the red blade, catching more and more of the bolts.
The buildings and people flew by so fast they became a blur, yet the bolts seemed to be moving slower and slower the harder he tightened his grip on the Dark Side.
Suddenly the Dug stopped firing, and in fact stopped his bike enirely. Trychon turned around to see why.
