Eiron felt his apprentices funnel the Force. He could feel Trychon stumble, fall behind a bit, but then he joined the others in releasing the energy they'd channeled.
"You've tasted it," Eiron said, smiling. "You have found focus. The most difficult part is to keep that focus during battle. The Jedi will try to undermine you. As soon as you lose sight of your emotions, you power will leave you. You cannot force the Dark Side."
"But there is another lesson. Be aware when you focus. I could have slit your throats while you were remembering and none of you could have stopped me. Be aware."
"Now, last of all, I would like to see a spar between the three of you. See all of your skills in action, mmm?" Eiron's smile broadened. "Utilize all you have learned thus far. Summon the Dark Side and defeat your foes. The last one standing shall receive my favor for a moment."
Eiron stepped back to allow the duel to proceed. "Oh, and I will kill anyone who lands a killing strike. For this duel, merely defeat each other. Do not maim or kill. We have not the numbers to afford that."
