Raezyr pushed the grav sled with the deactivated HK-50 through the door and into the main hall, followed by Trychon. Raezyr reached out with the force. He could sense the familiar presence of Anya somewhere in the temple, the training room perhaps, although he wasn't exactly sure.
They unloaded the droid and shoved the grav sled into a corner. "Get yourself ready, Trych," Raezyr said as he reached for the switch with one hand and his long saber with the other.
He jumped back as the cervos and motivators began humming and drew his other hilt. Trychon had taken a defensive stance, holding his hilt in front of him, although neither activated their blades right away. Their research on this model had warned them of the droid's propensity for meeting violence with violence.
The sensors in the droid's head came to life, glowing yellow. "What is your command, organics.... masters?" the droid said in a male computerized voice.
Raezyr looked at Trychon. "What now?" Trychon heard in his head.
"State your primary directives," Trychon ordered.
"I am programmed to facilitate communications and terminate hostilities," the droid replied.
"Who sent you to us?"
"I'm sorry, but you must clarify that query," the droid stated flatly.
"Raez, check your data pad, see if that file unlocked."
Raezyr put away his hilts and pulled out the data pad. The file was indeed unlocked. He studied it for a moment.
"What is it?"
"Nothing much. Looks like an operation manual. Here take a look,"Raezyr remarked and tossed the pad to Trychon.
Trychon put his hilt away and caught the data pad. "Damn. I was hoping it'd be a clue as to where this came from," he said as he scanned the file.
Suddenly they felt a presense and both looked to the entrance across the hall. A split second later Anya walked through the doorway from the training area and strode briskly toward them.
Damn! That scowl makes her gorgeous! Raezyr thought as he stared mesmerized by the blond woman making her way over.
Trychon was surprised to hear Raezyr's voice in his head. I wonder if he knows he sent that? he thought, chuckling silently to himself.
